Wesley Autry: An Example Of Mankind At Its Best

BFD salutes Wesley Autry, the 50 year old New York City construction worker who lept unto the subway tracks yesterday in front of an oncoming train in order to save the life of a stranger.

The whole story is documented on the front page of the New York Times web edition.

Mr. Autry’s selflessness exemplifies the kind of values that we should all inculcate in our children and his story is a breath of fresh air in a time when humanity is suffering throughout the world, and the “leader of the free world” admonishes us all to “go shopping”.

EVERYTIME I HEAR HIS NAME HIS NAME TEARS START TO BUILD UP IN MY EYES. INDEED ONE OF THE BRAVEST, SELF-LESS, HONORABLE, COURAGEOUS MEN. HE IS INDEED MY HERO A TRUE HERO. IT SEAM AS IF EVERYBODY WHO HEARS HIS SITUATION AUTOMATICALLY WONDERS “WOULD I DO THAT”, AND EVENTOUGH WE ALL HOPE THE ANSWER IS YES, A VAST MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WOULD JUST WATCH. THE WERE ABOUT 75-80 PEOPLE AROUND AND ONLY HIMSELF AND TWO OTHER WOMEN CAME TO THIS MANS AIDE. THAT IS EXTREMELY DISTURBING. WESLEY YOU ARE MY HERO. MAY GOD KEEP BLESSING YOU EVERYDAY.
