Bushliburton Wet Dreams Vs Reality

Shades of Mission Accomplished, Deadeye Dick Cheney, posturing on the hangar deck of the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, which is cruising about 150 miles off shore from Iran in the Persian Gulf, with a covey of F-18 Super Hornet warplanes backing him up.

In an article headlined “On Carrier In Gulf, Cheney Warns Iran” in today’s New York Times, the Vietnam era draft-dodging vice president is quoted as saying:

“With two carrier strike groups in the Gulf, we’re sending clear messages to friends and adversaries alike,” he said. “We’ll keep the sea lanes open. We’ll stand with our friends in opposing extremism and strategic threats. We’ll disrupt attacks on our own forces. We’ll continue bringing relief to those who suffer, and delivering justice to the enemies of freedom. And we’ll stand with others to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons and dominating this region…”

“I want you to know that the American people will not support a policy of retreat,” Mr. Cheney said. “We want to complete the mission, we want to get it done right, and then we want to return home with honor.”

Juxtapose today’s wholly staged photo and sound bite opportunity, surrounded with threatening armaments, and United States military personnel ordered to stand behind and in front of the Bushliburton administration vice president on his bully pulpit with the implication that these and all of our service members are ready and willing to lay down their lives.  Lay down their lives, so, as Bushliburton would have us believe, through the shear force of our will and superior industrial/military might, prevail upon any nation, any people in the world, who do not accept that their beliefs and values are subserviant to those of the neocon warmongering extremists that are leading us to the edge of the abyss.

Juxtapose that with the picture below of Staff Sgt. Vincent Worrell, laying in a field hospital in Iraq.

As reported in a gripping three part series of multi-media reports in the Los Angeles Times, titled “The Lifeline“,

Vincent Worrell lay shivering on a trauma bay. He felt something in his mouth. He sat up and spat fragments of his front teeth into a bedpan. They were mixed with blood and tissue torn from inside his mouth.

He heard someone say: “Significant laceration to the cheek and lip.” And then: “Frag under the eye … frag in the face … frag in the shoulder … possible thumb fracture.”

A bomb fashioned from two mortar rounds had detonated a few feet behind Worrell, an Army staff sergeant, as he walked on patrol near Tall Afar on the morning of Nov. 6. Now he was inside the Air Force Theater Hospital, a tight web of interlocking tents set up on packed sand 50 miles north of Baghdad.

Worrell’s story, and the stories of thousands of other American service people are the reality of the Bushliburton misadventures upon the world stage.

Read, see and hear more about Worrell and how he and his comrades in arms are impacted by the grandiose folly of the Bushliburton agenda, as the draft dodging, AWOL, wannabe warriors of the Bushlibruton administration try and prop up their manhood, or womanhood, on the backs and torn bodies of our citizen soldiers in the report in the Los Angeles Times.

Then recognize the orchestration of the Cheney scene above for what it really is, an obscene and immoral insult to the humanity and intelligence of all Americans.  How much longer will the American people and their elected representatives allow Bushliburton to continue to get their rocks off in this cluster f***.
